It was clean with affable and nice staff. The location was excellent and perfect, we were close to the heart of Coimbra. The hotel met expectation, we will be back.

I have stayed in guest room for 2 nights, it was complete with a private bathroom, good mattresses, a double bed. Unbeatable and convenient location, close to a rare surviving Reconquista-era church, truly enjoyed this place.

The location is perfect, just a one-minute walk from the train station and close to the river, tourist information center, shops, and restaurants. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy, with good quality sheets. The bathroom, although small, is clean and has plenty of towels. The shower has a powerful venturi type shower head, providing a strong spray of hot water. The room also has a multi plug adapter and heater to keep you warm. the location and amenities make it a great choice for those taking off early.

The building facade had a charming antique feel to it, adding character to the hotel. The reception staff were pleasant and welcoming, creating a friendly atmosphere. Being able to relax in a lovely bath and enjoy the TV in the room was a bonus after a long day of exploring.

That some staff members were not very friendly and it was difficult to communicate with them. The room had a strong smell of naphthalene, which required us to open the windows for fresh air.

Close to train station and old town. Lovely old building with helpful and humorous receptionist. Family room was a pleasant surprise, basic but clean.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at Residencial Aviz. The room we booked was a twin with a shared bathroom, but we were upgraded to a triple room with an ensuite bathroom and a TV with plenty of channels. The room was clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated the daily cleaning service. The location of the hotel was also fantastic, just a short 5-minute walk to the old town. Despite a few minor inconveniences, like the lack of heating in the room and the unavailability of the kitchen in the morning, our overall experience was positive. The staff, although language barriers were present, was friendly and accommodating. Despite the drawbacks, I would recommend staying at Residencial Aviz for its great location, cleanliness, and reasonable rates. I had a good experience at this hotel.

our honeymoon in coimbra was amazing! residencial aviz was the perfect choice. their thoughtful touches, like a great shower and helpful brochures, made us feel so welcomed. the convenient location near the old city centre was a bonus, just a short walk away. we were impressed by the cleanliness of the small but cozy room.
